US Geological Survey (USGS)

 The  US Geological Survey (USGS) provides information on how the environment is doing, especially after natural disasters, also how much natural resources there is left, climate change and the consequences and the effects of changing the land for human use, water management and the control of invasive species. 

The scientists are trying to understand why natural disasters occur and see what can be done to prevent them.

The USGS are the largest mapping and monitoring agency. It all began on 3rd March 1879
