Terns Sterna hirundo

The terns belong to Sternidae family.

They are small birds, with white body and
wings and wings have a black rim
and a black head with a red bill and
legs.

The young are brown,
but resembles the adult during the winter.

They build their nests on the beaches, lakes and marshes. They feed on invertebrates and
small fish. They hunt by flying over the water and once the fish is spotted the tern swoops down
and to get the fish.
