 Shiny blueberry Vaccinium myrsinites

The shiny blueberry belongs to Ericaceae family.

The shiny blueberry is a small shrub (one metre), with shiny leaves which are in bloom all year round. The flowers are small with a pale pink colour during the spring but during the summer months blue berries appear.

They are found in wood containing a lot of pine trees with a acidic soil. The blueberries prefer to be in full sun but they can adapt to periods without direct sunlight.
