Greater yellow legs

The Greater yellow legs belong to Scolopacidae family. 

The adults are large with vibrant yellow legs, long bill, The feathers are brown, grey, white and black. The young are similar but the markings aren't as visible. 

They are found in forests, saltwater lake and bogs. 

They feed on small invertebrates, fish, frogs, berries and seeds. They sit and wait until food goes past them and when it does, they lunge forward and grabs it with their long, pointed bills.

The nests are located on the ground and they are made out of leaves, twigs and peat.
